Impact2011! Charitable Giving Campaign
The Oracle Team has launched its IMPACT!2011 Charitable Giving Campaign which features fundraising efforts to benefit those served by two outstanding charitable organizations; United Way of Forsyth County NC and Folds of Honor Foundation.

The 2011 campaign follows the outstanding success of Oracle's 2010 campaign efforts through which the team set a third consecutive company record for charitable giving, raising over $73,500 for the two charities.

United Way Logo

United Way of Forsyth County, NC
United Way of Forsyth County leads in uniting the Community to bring together resources to identify and effectively address our Community's most vital human needs.  Channeling financial support for 32 Partner Agencies, the United Way furthers its goal of creating real, long-lasting community-wide change in the areas of education, financial stability and healthcare.

Folds of Honor
The Folds of Honor Foundation
Folds of Honor is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities. FHF provides post-secondary educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of their military service to our great nation. The foundation's unique scholarships can be applied to schooling now or held by Folds of Honor on behalf of young children until needed at the time of enrollment.  The Folds of Honor Foundation was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 pilot, golf course owner, PGA Professional and USGA member. A Major in the Air National Guard and a decorated military aviator, Rooney has served three combat tours in Iraq.  After returning from his second tour, Major Rooney witnessed a profound situation that drove him to create the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem
Due, in part, to a reputation of charitable excellence earned by Oracle Associates, The Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem asked for Oracle's assistance to fold 7,000 tee shirts, which the organization sells to fund the vital service that RMH provides to families with children suffering with significant health challenges.   Rising to the occasion, Oracle's Kristi Goodwin, Project Coordinator, and 50 additional Oracle team members folded, packaged and delivered 7,000 t-shirts in the month of March, 2010.  In October, the Oracle team assisted again by organizing and packing 50,000 luminaries in preparation for RMH's holiday fundraiser.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross
A significant number of Oracle team members donate blood twice each year in support of the American Red Cross blood drive.

Brenner Children's Hospital
Brenner Children's Hospital
Brenner Children's Hospital features the region's only pediatric specialists who are trained in both pediatrics and their specialty areas, ensuring that children receive the best care possible. The facility is also home to the area's only pediatric emergency and trauma center with equipment designed and sized specifically for children. Each BCH doctor, nurse and staff member specializes, not only in treating children, but in putting them at ease so that they can heal more effectively.  As a corporate sponsor, Oracle supports BCH initiatives to provide quality, age-specific healthcare services to the children they serve.

Charitable Initiatives by Individual Oracle Associates and Teams
In addition to supporting company sponsored initiatives, many times individuals, clubs and teams within the Oracle family,  rise up to make a difference in the lives of those in need.  Here are just a few examples...

  1. The Rough Riders, a team of Oracle Associates who enjoy off-road ATV adventure rides, organized a fundraiser ride in support of a fellow employee and their family who was in need.
  2. Randy Mullis, production supervisor, his family and additional Rough Rider members, participated in the annual West Virginia ATV ‘Ride for a Cause' to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation.
  3. Donald Moore, Ink Attendant, participates in fundraising for the American Cancer Society and his bride, who has suffered with the disease.
